That's a nice hunk of lumber. I can't tell from the photo, did you get 70/30 or 60/40?

70/30 sir. Here's a closer look at the lumber...extra 1/2" of spacers between the wood and pad, factory install.

Graco inlay...sorry for all the pic's...I'm like a proud father showing off the baby

That's really nice! They really hooked you up. I am still amazed that they charge so little for such great looking wood. If you ordered an Italian gun with that kind of wood upgrade, it would cost you $1000 or more.
very nice. --Jim

Pornography of firearms. I love it.
Insert comical quip here.

Picked up this 1977 M37 from a consignment seller on gunbroker 2 weeks ago. My first firearm. I'd be surprised if it was ever fired. Thinking it was a closet queen. What does the "S" stamp on the barrel mean? |
|
That's the "ROTO FORGED" proof mark. The mark is an anvil.
|
|
the "S" is a later 70s service mark
it means the gun was serviced by ithaca |

couple ole Ithaca M37s
L to R... 1940 vintage gun/basket case/trenchie project - the stock off ePay cost more than the gun did off GB... heat shield is one of the awesome East Taylor reproduction pieces. 1941 vintage Riot Gun 1943 vintage Riot Gun 1956 vintage 16ga 1961 vintage 20ga 1969 vintage (real) M37 Trench Gun 1970 vintage Riot Gun ...and a 1971 vintage Riot Gun (kinda cool has a factory SKT choked barrel - not CYL) The two trenchies... the "real" one, a 1969 vintage gun on top and the "fake" one, a 1940 vintage gun that was (and kinda still a basket case ...we'll call it a "work in progress"). |
|
Very very impressive. I hope you can finish your project gun, I bet it will look great!

Here's a few pictures of my old 37 12 gauge dressed up Thanks Donald

I just bought a M87 Ducks Unlimited 1991. Absolutely mint shape. Laminated stocks 28" barrel screw-in choke, matte finish. It is a Canadian model and only 650 made. Another addition to my 37s.
