Yes this was kept on the down low but is being made out of the Ohio plant. Right now they are working on it for the military but there will be civilian models at some point.

What are the odds that it will be aloud to be bought in Canada. I'd love to get one when available. But I'm sure the good old Canada regs. Will screw that up :(

Normally I never had alot of interest in owning a tactical long arm, but this one is so dang nice I may have to save my nickels and dimes and get one.

I'd have never thought I'd like one either. That is until I shot one that a friend of mine owns, a S&W I believe. You had to try to miss with that thing. It was the shootinest rifle that I ever shot, and the recoil made a .410 look like a slobberknocker.

I'd like to have one, but the finances will not allow. I have heard that you can buy them piece/assembly at at time and put one together yourself and save quit a bit of money. It is tempting, kind of like the Cadillac that Johnny Cash sang about!

I don't if anyone noticed, but the shield logo for Ithaca tactical is the shield that belonged to the knight's templar.

Heh heh heh

I do appreciate everything about an M-4 style rifle, Col. They are feats of engineering and works of art in my book. I'm just a shotgunner at heart and that is what I have always targeted my purchases. But you are right, they are honeys.

I noticed the lazy eight (full auto) marking. Whats up with that? They planning on making a FA version for law enforcement agencies? or is a spikes lower thing? just for looks?

They are currently working on a military contract and then they will be releasing civilian versions.

They are going for the military contract, from what I understand. If that pans out we could see a civvie version sometime.

Interesting. Is the magwell changeable or is there a completely seperate lower for the 7.62x51 version?

Is the discoloration wear, oxidation, or purposeful?

Piston or D.I.?

Wow, very interesting. I built a short barrel CMMG a while back...but now I wish I went for a .308 version. Perhaps that will come to light, if not I suppose I could buy a long barrel version from Ithaca. :)

Any news of this yet? and more importantly will there be a sub calibre training version? Over here we are only allowed .22 semi auto rifles and a full on mini rifle competition market has grown out of this limitation. Currently being led by S & W with their superb 15-22. Come on Ithaca! get some market share!
