I was in a gun shop today, and the folks there knew about my weakness for Ithacas, so he brought out a Mod. 51 12 ga. for me to fondle.
Now I've got the shakes - been too long since I bought a gun!
On the serious side, I am not a big auto shooter, although we bought one for the wife, and I kinda like it.
What are the pluses and minuses of the Mod. 51?
Talk me out of it (or into it, whatever the case may be)
Lust!

A flash in the pan, a puff of smoke, and a prayer to the great Lord on high...

Don't know any minus's, but a couple plus's off the top of my head are 1. You so deserve another gun, and 2. You can't afford not too

Probably going to have to talk yourself out of it cause they were good guns. On the downside, parts might becoming a bit difficult to find.

Think that I might have myself talked into this, but I did just come across a Crass that I couldn't pass up.
I'll call the fellow Thurs and see what kind of price I can get him down to. A flash in the pan, a puff of smoke, and a prayer to the great Lord on high...

Yet another example of Ithaca needing a work horse auto in the lineup.
