Picked up this really sweet 16 gauge Long Range this week. Looks like it wasn't used very much. Has pretty much all the case coloring and about 92% bluing left. Wood is very nice. I was actually surprised at how well it handles for a North American gun. Looks good alongside the Flues and Lefever.

Yes, the barrels are 28" choked 2 and 4 so I guess full and improved cylinder. I haven't took a measurement yet though. It is a 1940 build.

What would a 3 be? I thought 1 was cylinder, 2 was improved cylinder, 3 was modified and 4 was full. But I could be wrong. I tried finding out on the net but you can never find anything when you want to.

http://www.shotgunworld.com/bbs/viewtop ... 2&t=135669British method.
0 is none
1/4 is imp cyl
2/4 is mod
3/4 is imp mod
4/4 is full
Ithaca just states numerator only. I dont remember my exact source but the link above is from a far more knowledgable man than myself

Found this.
Also near the front of each barrel flat there should be a number designating the choke of that barrel -- 4 = full, 3 = improved modified, 2 = modified, 1 = improved cylinder and 0 = cylinder.
