New Lefever Nitro Special 12g

Just purchased a LNS gun from a pawn shop for $250 out the door. The action, barrel, and forend all have matching serial numbers (224453) making it 1925. Action locks up tight, the 26" barrels are in good shape with original bead, and everything seems to be in good working order.
However, I think the wood furniture has been reproduced. The stock has a raised-cheek piece built in. The forend doesn't have a button or lever to remove it. The butt plate is brass colored. And finally, it's in really good shape (not 90 year old wood). I will take pics when I get home, but none of this furniture is stock, is it?
Also, I can't find any stamps that demonstrate if it's 2 1/2" chamber or 2 3/4". Would that year of production indicate the chamber size? I only plan to shoot doves and quail with it so hoping 2 3/4" #8s will work well out of it.
Thanks,
