I've posted a bit of a tutorial on the Ammunition forum about how to load shells for our Damascus-barrelled, short-chambered Crass shotguns.

hey yall i just bought an 1892 ithaca side by side 10 gauge and im wondering if yall know the size of the shell? 2 5/8 or 2 7/8?

I'm not familiar with 10 guages.
I would recommend taking it to a local gunsmith and hiving it checked out. A flash in the pan, a puff of smoke, and a prayer to the great Lord on high...

It would depend on the Model of 10 Gauge you have. I have an Ithaca Flues 10gauge born in 1911 and it has a chamber of 2 7/8". (See pictured in show me your Flues). Most 10s had that chamber depth. Some where special ordered and some were changed later. Get it checked by a gunsmith. Always good advise. Donald
