New to the site, but I've been an Ithaca owner since 2006. My first was a 1973 model 37 12 gauge pump that my father in law gave me. I love that gun and it has dropped many a dove, some ducks, and a pair of turkeys.
He has 3 model 37s in 20, 16, and 12 gauge as well as an SkB over under in 20 gauge.
This past weekend, I acquired a NIG & Crass model hammer gun in 10 gauge. It needs some serious TLC. I have the barrels with matching serial number, but the forend is missing and the stock is only partially there. The serial number is 217xx, so 1892 is the year of manufacture. The water table is marked "A 10", which means 10 gauge, but I guess grade A?
I'd really like to find an original stock and forend from another gun that is missing everything else. The trigger and hammers seem to be missing springs, and the safety is gone. I realize that my best hope is getting this gun close to whole so that I can hang it on the wall, and that would make me happy.
Any place to start finding original stocks/forends would be helpful. It might be a waiting game on gunbroker or another auction site.
Let's see if this picture works...
