I just picked up another really old Crass double 12 gauge shotgun. It is in pretty good shape. It has a serial number 9992 so that tells me it was made in 1889. It is hammerless, (must be one of the first). It has 30' Damascus barrels and has the ebony diamond shaped point on the forearm. It also has some engraving. I have checked the chambers and was confused about what I found. It is 12 gauge and is 2.5 inches deep but they are tapered. I did some research and found that it is chambered for brass shot shells. This gun is old. Great now I have to try to find some really old brass shot shells. Thanks Donald.

Thanks Ravengunsmith but those places are all in the USA and I'm in Canada and the USA is real picky about sending any gun stuff out of the country. No problem with Canada letting me bring stuff in, it is getting it out of The USA.
