Well, I went and did it. I had sworn off any more 12 gauges of any configuration. Then I saw the big brother of my M37 16 gauge sitting in the used rack at the LGS. The consignor accepted my low-ball offer so tomorrow this is a 2 Ithaca family.

I am officially addicted.

Hunting and informal clays. I don't get out as much as I used to, but I have a couple of new shooters I get out with a few times a year. After the first trip or two to the range it's now them nagging me to get out. Works out well.

Pheasant and grouse, mainly. It doesn't get any better than a late October day in the 60's (F) behind a good dog. I tend toward doubles, but the 37 is just too classy to resist.

And how do you use them in Nova Scotia?

I use my 12 gauge Model 37 for duck hunting. My 28 gauge Model 37 I use for partridge (ruffed grouse) and rabbit (snowshoe hare) hunting.

You are right, the Model 37 is one classy shotgun.
