You know, Ithaca has in their own right produced some of the most amazing and reliable firearms to date!

I'm really enjoying hearing about well used and loved firearms in service performing to expectation after sooo many years! So, I gues, keep doin that! :D

I like double duty firearms too, the "combat" or defensive shotgun. Threaded choke options would be cool, and I'd still like to see an autoloader too. I'd love to see a 22" vent rib threaded for chokes!

I'd like to see them bring back the "take down" barrels to the defense line. The quick detach barrel is one of the best points of the M37.

I'd really like to see the DSPS is the line up again. It was one of the best police shotguns ever.

Lastly, i'd like to see Ithaca try to convince Surefire to start making the 624 weapon light again and offer it as a factory option on the defense model.

I wish I saw this thread yesterday since I'm in the market to buy another auto 12ga.

I think Ithaca should tap into the semi-auto market by producing a quality, inertia based, 3 1/2" 12ga using the Stoeger M3500 style recoil spring around the magazine tube, and Ithaca quality to compete with the M3500 and SBE produced by Beretta subsidiaries. By using a similar design to that of the Stoeger, perhaps M37 stocks, and trigger groups could be used to simplify the manufacturing process.

I just think the gas auto would have to have a lot more R&D to get right, and even then is kind of a gamble. Plus keeping the end of the magazine tube open, extensions could be fitted allowing it to compete in the 3 gun matches/home defense, and hunting markets.

I'd like to see the new o/u in a 20 ga sporting and skeet version not just a field version.

What would you like to see from Ithaca Gun Company?

Hi,
I would like to see a non-ribbed barrel for the 28 gauge m37. I love my English stock 28 gauge with the vent rib 28" barrel, but I think a 26" barrel with no rib would be very nice for upland hunting.

I'd like to see Ithaca make a stock/entry level 1911A1. with just a few custom touches, throated barrel, beveled mag well, lowered ejection port, and high profile fixed sights.

I would like to see more LE Tactical options and get some exposure with LE to expose the Defender more. Our Sheriff had never heard of Ithaca, until the Defender showed up. Need light mounts quickly, on the barrel of the 18.5, with the Pic mount system. Top recoil pads (new gel pads on the 870 LE are super).

I would like to see them make a good .22 sporting rifle, preferably a bolt action. I would like adult dimensions, black walnut stock, blued steel where it should be, opposed to alloy and plastic. In short, a nice quality full size .22 rifle like was available from years gone by.

I would like to see them bring back the English Ultra M-37. I'll post a picture of one of the original ads from the 80's when I find it again among the pile of gun magazines I've collected over the years. Even if it were a special order gun, I bet they would sell.

A Decent Choke Tube Case

You can buy any case under the moon for a cell phone but go try to find a decent choke tube case or pouch. What's up with that? I have a couple of Ithacas that came with extra choke tubes loose in bags. I bought the green Ithaca soft gun case with matching double shell bag. I wish Ithaca would offer a matching choke tube pouch like Browning used to offer. From ebay I order Briley's plastic Red case for 12 gauge and yellow for 20 gauge but I couldn't find the purple for 16 gauge. I also ordered a couple from Cabela's. With all the guns on the market with screw-in chokes you would think there would be a better selection of cases that you can carry your choke tubes in your pocket and keep them stored at home but I couldn't find any.

I have heard through the grape-vine that Ithaca is coming out with an automatic. Any truth to that rumor? If it is true-when, what is it, tell us more. Maybe it is already out and I have not heard about it.

I would love to see the EX1, apparently a semi auto model 37 prototype from the old days with proper bottom eject. I’ve not even seen a picture of it just a tantalising mention in Walter Snyders book. If they could manage bottom eject in a semi it would be a guaranteed success in my opinion. Remington and Beretta couldn’t do it, I have confidence that Ithaca could. (And should!!)
