I have been a member of OGCA since about 1997 or so. I have noticed the Association mentioned from time to time on this forum. I was wondering how many of our forum members are also in the OGCA and if any of my fellow Ithaca fans would be interested in meeting up in person at one of the meetings some time.

1977cutcher,
I also joined the OGCA about that same time frame - maybe a couple of years later.
Would love to get together.
I won't be able to make the Sept show, as that's the same time as the NMLRA Nationals at Friendship, and that's a rock-solid committment for me. But I will be at the Nov. show, Lord willing!
Just curious, where are you from?

Good to hear from you. I am hopping to attend the October meeting most likely on the 27th at the I-X center. I am not to far from it. Not sure if your planning on coming up that far north.

I will be holding table number P-40 at the OGCA meeting in the IX center on October 27 and 28. If any forum members wish to stop by and swap Ithaca stories please do so. FYI no plans to sell any Ithaca guns at this time. Thanks!

We won't be able to make it to that show, as I am running a Black Powder shoot than Sat morning, and then need to go over to another club and shoot in their fall woodswalk.
Definately planning on being at the Nov. OGCA show at the Roberts center in Wilmington.
Have a good time! :D

So how did you do at the I-X center?
Was it a good show?

I did OK. No one was looking for high end guns though. Was not able to move Wingmasters and the like, Just Mossbergs, and other lower end stuff. There where quite a few nice Winchesters to be seen and I picked up a nice model 51 with a 28 inch modified choke vent rib barrel for $300, and a well used model 38 with a slug barrel for $275. One fellow had a number of various unused model 37s, a 51 and other related guns from about the 1980 era. He said he bought them from an estate not to far from Ithaca New York; I think perhaps the fellow may have been a sales person for Ithaca. Would of liked to bring some of them home BUT I had to bring some cash home with me as well.
