BAYONETS

One of the first things mankind did when transitioning from edged weapons like swords and pikes to firearms was to add the blade in the form of a bayonet to his weapons...this thread is here for you to show off your firearms tactical knife.

M1942 16" bayonet for my Springfield Armory M1 Garand ( circa 1944 )

M1959 6H3 bayonet for my Yugoslavian AKMS[P] {tritium-illuminated night sights}(circa 1970)

The blade forms a wire-cutting device when coupled with its scabbard. The polymer grip and upper part of the scabbard provide insulation from the metal blade and bottom part of the scabbard to safely cut electrified wire.

I dont have any bayonets... I love to look at bayonets, and should probably get one someday!

My favorites are the M1942 16" M1 Garand and the M7 to modern bayonets.

KBARS have long been a favorite, but theyre not made in the US anymore, I guess since they havent been issue, I'm only guessing though.

I have a bayonet lug on my 590A1... cant say I need a bayonet on there. I just want one, or a few!
