When will the new 1911 be made available for sale in California. I do not see it on the DOJ approved handgun list http://certguns.doj.ca.gov/

also, will it be available thru the online store?

As of now we do not plan to offer the 1911 for sale in CA. Sorry but it does not meet the DOJ standards. Now that's not to say you can't get one or own one in CA. I just returned from the World Steel Challenge and learned that it may be possible under the non-roster listing. Still checking on that as of now.

We are working on getting it listed to our on-line store.

Mike

I also was wondering when Ithaca will get their new 1911 up in Canada? I do have a WWII Ithaca 1911, but would love a new one. Thanks Donald

Here is a picture of my Ithaca (Colt) 1911 A1 Built in 1944. It probably had seen service as it has a few redone stamps on it. It still is a great shooter. I took off the original grips and saved them. There are Whale bone gips on it now. Came with a holster, belt, cleaning rod, and box. The serial number confirms it was made by Ithaca.

im kinda new to this site, but i do own an Ithica M1911-A1 from back in WW2, got it beat up and almost totaly wiped out but a new barrel and a few other parts had it up and running again, better than ever, holds a good group at 75 ft. might not look new but i'll put it up against any "saturdat night special" around. the new barrel gave it more a modern punch cause i can use lighter bullets and get higher velocities.

i might have been the oldest person on the range the day i qualified for my carry permit, and i had the oldest pistol (around 1943/44..) but i had the best score on the target !!! even the teachers there said "well, we wont have to worry about you!!"

says a lot for a nearly 70 year old, 102 year old design, heavy duty hunk of history.

i will not part with it to i die, and then i wont need it!
