hi,
I am a newbie from germany and I have just bought a m37 featherlight 28" 12 ga.
Very, very nice gun.
Handling is better than every of the three b´s from europe i had. I am so addicted to this gun, I want to know more about ithaca shotguns.

So I wondered about the two topics in the forum.
I thought that a deerslayer is variation of the m37.
Am I wrong?

And forgive me for my missing knowledge, i am really new the ithacas.

Please tell me about it.

you are correct it is a variation designed to shoot slugs.

any m37 can shoot slugs ,but there are some small enhancements that can be made to improve accuracy.
so they called it a deerslayer.
they also produced guns specialized for the military , police ,home defense ,waterfowl hunting and even hog hunting
