I was looking at the Model 37 Accessories thread, where cindynles posted a link to this pistol grip stock from Choate.
Anyway, I was liking the look of the stock for one of those new 8 shot Defense guns. Then I put my pathetic image editing "skills" to work, and came up with this:
Not a bad look. I had been thinking of the wood stock version, but something like this is somewhat appealing, as it has the sling swivels.

There are also some other stock options available directly through Ithaca Gun Company. They aren't posted on the site yet but they are available if you call. I think the Choate stock on a m37 HD would be a pretty nice setup depending on what length of pull you are looking for.

Choate also makes a Mark 5 PG stock for the Ithaca. I think it looks a little better than the other one.

The only thing I dislike about most pistol grips is the LOP. An adjustable stock could work though.

The Choate Mark 5 stock is adjustable for LOP. It comes with two 1/2" spacers so that LOP can be adjusted from 13-14". |
That could work! I prefer a 12", but 13" isnt so bad! RossignolST

This is true! Received my new brochure today in the mail... I was surprised at many new additions. One biggie is the pistol grip tactical style shotgun with rifle sights! Glad to see they are rolling out new items. ...I sure like how that 'AOW' model looks, but Class 3 people are eligible. Ah well, c'est la vie. Insert comical quip here.

Here's a couple of the ones now being distributed in Canada.
Lots of other styles as well!! |

Hit Man X,
You know that Class III is on a per item/person basis right? There is no such thing as a Class III license only a $200 Tax Stamp (per Class III item) from the BATF that takes a ridiculous amount of time to go through, but as long as you haven't been convicted of a crime you can pay the BATF and order the AOW shotgun. But there are no special Class III people. However I would certainly be interested in ordering the adjustable pistol grip stock and a money grip forend to mod my old 1950 Deerslayer (original) with the 18" barrel while I'm restoring the original stock and forend. Any word on the price? They haven't updated the website yet -J |

I made my own tactical M37 with a Choate side folding stock and a spec-ops sling. It shoots surprisingly well with the shorter LOP.

Where are the "AR Style" collapsible stocks coming from... Looked on Ithaca's site, Brownells, Midway... ziltch?
