Dear Forum,

My "local" gun forum is Pigeon Watch:

http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums

About a year ago, a new guy, "Wildfowler", came aboard. He wanted to build a punt and gun. This is his story:

http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/ ... d-punt-gun

I think, somehow, y'all might find this thread interesting. (It's a long one; make a cup tea before settling down to have a read...)

Regards,

Mark.

P.S. Can someone please tell me if the links don't work.

Mark,

you need to let your admin over there know you have invited people to check out your forum. I joined but still cannot see the pictures. it is worthless for us without pics.

D'you mean from the point of view of increased bandwidth, Dave?

I joined but still cannot see the pictures.

That's odd. I thought that the whole forum could be seen *without* registering.

it is worthless for us without pics.

They *are*, indeed, something special.

I'll go PM an admin, right now.

Thanks for the heads up, Dave.

Regards,

Mark.

Everyone, you have to have your account "enabled" in order to see the pictures. Now that I can see them, they are worth the trouble.

Dave,

I contacted PW's admin, "Teal" and told him of your attempt to read the thread:

Actually I have just read the topic and I see that he already can see
them as his account was activated. On the back of this I have opened
up the pictures in the Sporting Pictures and Guns and Equipment
sections so that guests can now see them.

So, in *theory*, Guests should now be able to get the full "experience".

Thanks for taking the time to register and view the thread, Dave.

Regards,

Mark.

I forgot to ask: can someone access the thread as a guest to see if Teal's fix works?

Thanks.

Regards,

Mark.

I accessed the site with another browser that was not logged on, so I "appeared" as a guest. I was able to see the pictures.
