I am trying to find where I can simply purchase just the little front stud mount that attaches to the bottom of the shotgun, up by the thumbscrew to remove the barrel.

It is missing off one of the Deerslayers and I would like to have one. :)

Thanks!

Ah, I forgot about them... which is silly as I was using their diagram to reassemble an old 16ga High Standard I picked up at an estate sale for a modest $50. :D

I will keep you guys posted!

I'll be interested to know how you get on.

I recently ordered some parts from Ithaca and I added a front swivel just because one of my DSPS shotguns had a swivel on the stock but not on the barrel lug.

Anyhoo, when the parts arrived, the swivel would screw into *neither* DSPS. Both were early eightes, M37 DSPS M&P versions.

In addition, I ordered the screw that holds the spring stop in place on the older guns since my 1975 M37's had broken. That didn't fit, either...

As far as the swivel is concerned, I suppose it's possible that the threads on *both* guns have been damagaed over the years. However, the spring stop pin *should* fit, I'd've thought - the *old* one will screw in well below the surface if the broken off part is not inserted.

Finally, I ordered a slide stop hoping to cure a "won't fire unless the forend is pushed foward" problem. It turns out that the gun won't cock if it's fitted; the part has to be filed to fit, it seems. It was for one of the DSPS guns and it has the slam-fire pin on the side of the hammer. (I may try getting a mate to extend the end of the old stop so that I can file it to shape - I'm hoping that a little extra length is all that is required to make things work again since the end of the old stop is *well* worn.)

I haven't contacted Ithaca, yet, but I'm sure that Zak will be able to advise me.

Regards,

Mark.
